Chakshu empowers citizens to report suspected fraudulent communications aimed at deceiving users of telecom services for cybercrime, financial fraud, impersonation, or any other misuse via calls, SMS, or WhatsApp.
Examples of such suspicious communications include messages related to bank accounts, payment wallets, SIM cards, gas or electricity connections, KYC updates, expiry notices, deactivations, impersonation of government officials or relatives, and sextortion attempts etc.
Note: If you have incurred financial losses due to fraud or have fallen victim to cybercrime, please promptly report the incident to the cybercrime helpline at 1930 or visit https://www.cybercrime.gov.in. Please be aware that the Chakshu facility does not handle cases involving financial fraud or cybercrime.
