Job seekers looking for opportunities at IGI Airport, Delhi, are being targeted by fraudsters using fake airline advertisements and websites. In this case, a victim came across an Instagram advertisement for a non-existent airline named “Bretish Airways”, offering a job at IGI Airport.
After submitting his details, he received a call from a woman claiming to be “Karishma, HR – Bretish Airways.” The fraudsters collected his PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, marksheets and CV through WhatsApp and told him that a diploma in Airport/Aviation Management from “Future Wings Learning Institute” was mandatory for the job.
On this pretext, the victim was made to transfer ₹7,000 through UPI. He was subsequently provided with a fake admission slip, NOC slip and fake job offer letter.
When the victim discovered that no airline named “Bretish Airways” existed and the mobile numbers stopped responding, he reported the matter through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP) helpline 1930.
Following the complaint, FIR No. 34/2026, under Sections 318(4)/319(2)/61 BNS, dated 14-07-2026, was registered at Cyber Police Station, Central District, and investigation was initiated.
A dedicated team comprising SI Ankur Sejwal, HC Harvinder, HC Deepak, HC Jaikishan and HC Deeksha was constituted under the close supervision of SHO/Cyber Central and overall supervision of ACP/Operations, Central District, to identify and apprehend the persons involved in the racket.
