Dwarka-based NGOs - Change I Network (CIN), and Sukarman - in coordination with Rotary Club will organise a painting competition for children of three different age groups at Sector 3 Park, Behind Balaji Apartment, Dwarka, on August 15, 2017.
The theme for painting competition is Independence Day and freedom fighters. "Children will be given stationery on the spot, and so they need not bring anything along. But they can bring cardboard with them. The children need to assemble at the ground at 7.30m because the competition will start at 7.45 am. Children will get a certificate and stand a chance to win attractive prizes," says Ajay Pandey of Change I Network.
The other campaign being run by CIN is Donate a Flag that involves asking Dwarka residents to donate a flag for August 15. "The collection of flags starts two weeks in advance, and these flags will be used for the I-Day March. The underprivileged children who are the beneficiary of our free education programme (Pathshala) will also participate in the event," he says.
The event on August 15, 2017, will start with flag hoisting, followed by a short cultural programme and painting competition for children. It will culminate with the I-Day March.
