In today's episode of our series UPSC Success story we have Ambassador Dr.BM Vinod Kumar an Indian Foreign Service officer from 1985 batch. He comes from a small and remote village of Telangana where he had to walk 23 kms to attend school. He aimed to be a Doctor with a vision to help people and save lives but later as a practicing doctor decided to become an IFS as a challenge. He was rejected by the AP Public Service Commission which pushed him to UPSC. He believed he needs to work to get countries together. His hardships have great learning which we all need to learn from.
