Deepika Chawla, An Inspiring woman from corporate world I Proud Professionals
Radio Dwarka brings to you another engaging programme series “Proud Professionals”.
It was supposed to be a 'Man's World' but this perception has changed in the last couple of decades. In today's episode we have Deepika Chawla who is the Vice President of a Fortune 100 company having 27 years rich experience in Financial Shared Services and Banking Industry. She is a Chartered Accountant by profession and extremely passionate about promoting Diversity in workplace and society. Deepika shares her experience of her first job interview around 27 years back wherein she was not considered just due to her gender even being a qualified professional. She has herself seen a major change from that time till today. Women are considered to not only bring in the Intelligent Quotient but most importantly the Emotional Quotient too. Deepika mentors and guides younger women and promotes them to take it further and create a domino effect in the society. She is on the board of NGO's and also does modelling to support budding women photographers. Deepika's inspiration are the 3 women in her life - her mother, mother-in-law and daughter. Deepika believes that persistence in the key mantra to success.
