Hailing from the border district of Poonch in Jammu & Kashmir. The 37 Year old Jagvinder Singh has trained and participated for over 23 years. Following his passion while navigating through rough patches, and bottlenecks of social opinion, amidst the lack of supportive infrastructure; jagvinder still carried his dream to success all along. His determination is reflected in the longevity of his engagement in a hard sport such as boxing and his achievements are a testament towards his love for the sport. He had been winning variously while representing in Individual capacity and through the Police games honorably - All India Inter University Bronze Medal (2003), Senior Northzone Boxing Championship Gold (2004), Senior Interzonal national silver medal (2005), four times bronze medal at India Police Games (2005, 06, 07,10) and 7 years J&K champion overall.
