Yash's 183 saves Delhi as Match ends in a draw, Vijay Merchant Trophy

The 33rd Match of Vijay Merchant Trophy Under 16 (2017-18) was played between Delhi and Punjab at Feroz Shah Kotla ground, Delhi. The toss was won by Punjab who chose to bat first. Punjab in total scored 499 runs and declared the innings with loss of 8 wickets. Jaskaranvir Singh Paul was the top scorer who scored 175 runs while Wicket-Keeper Gagan Verma score 152*. From the bowling side, Shaurya Malik took 3 wickets while Gourav Rana took 2. Now it was the time for the home team to bat. Delhi didnt start well as opener Gourav Rana got out without troubling the scorers. But then, Yash Dhull and Aryan Raj handled the innings and at Stumps Day-2 Delhi were 54/1 in 15 Overs. On Day-3 Yash Dhull's 183* run knock saved Delhi from getting all-out and loosing on 1st Inning lead basis. In total Delhi scored 315 runs by loosing 8 wickets. Match ended as a draw and both teams got 1-1 point each. Karanpreet Singh took 6 wickets. The Umpires for the match were Ravi Shankar, Saidarashan Kumar while the Match Referee were Balkrishna Misquin.
