The 9th annual cricket tournament for Dwarka District Court employees was successfully held on October 17, 2024, at Bal Bhavan International School, Dwarka. The event was organized by Shri Shrikant Sharma, Senior Vice President of the Delhi District & Sessions Court Employees Welfare Association, along with Shri Sumit Mathur and Shri Bharat Sharma, officials from the Delhi District Courts.
The tournament was graced by the presence of distinguished chief guests, Hon’ble Justice Shri Dinesh Kumar Sharma and Hon’ble Justice Shri Manoj Jain from the Delhi High Court. Special guests included Shri Vimal Kumar Yadav, Principal District & Sessions Judge of Patiala House, Shri Sanjeev Kumar Jain, Principal Judge of the Family Court, Shri Gautam Mannan, Additional Sessions Judge of Tis Hazari, and Shri Vipin Kharb, Additional Sessions Judge of Saket.
Senior officials Shri Ajay Meharol, Senior Accounts Officer of Tis Hazari, and Shri Deepak Bhardwaj, President of the Delhi District & Sessions Court Employees Welfare Association, also graced the event.
A total of eight teams from various districts of Delhi participated in the tournament. The thrilling final match took place between the Family Court team and the South West Strikers, Dwarka. South West Strikers, Dwarka, scored 123 runs in 10 overs, defeating the Family Court team by 8 runs.
The awards and medals were presented by the Hon'ble Judges of the Delhi High Court, who praised the event and encouraged the continuation of such sporting initiatives.
