Anuj and Simarjeet shine as Delhi clinch CK Nayudu Trophy

The Final Match of Col C K Nayudu Trophy (2017-18) was played between Delhi and Mumbai at BKC Ground, Mumbai. The toss was won by Delhi who chose to field first. Delhi gained 1st innings lead in the 2nd day of the match as Quickie Simarjeet Singh took 6 wickets. Coming to bat for the 2nd time, Mumbai scored 267 runs and gave Delhi target of 237 runs. Siddharth Akre scored the most 63 runs while Ashay Sardesai scored 45 runs. Gourav Kumar was the pic of the bowlers as he took 4 wickets while Simarjeet, Shivank Vashisht and Tejas Baroka took 2-2 wickets each. Delhi chased the total easily with 5 wickets in hand and hence lifted the Honorable trophy. Anuj Rawat scored the most 75 runs while Dinesh Mor scored 46* and Jonty Sidhu scored 40. Tejas Baroka took 33 wickets in total hence was the highest wicket taker of the tournament while Shivank Vashisht stayed 2nd on the list with 30 wickets. The Umpires for the match were B K Ravi, K Srinath while the match Referee were Prasant Kumar Mohapatra.
