Brilliant knock by Delhi Ranji player Milind Kumar 84 runs (12x4s and 71 balls) and good spell of fast bowling by both Sarang Rawat (8-1- 35-3) and Bobby Yadav (8-0- 36-3) enabled Oil and Natural Gas Corporation beat Defence Accounts Sports Control by just 3 runs and enter the final after 4 years of the 28 th All India Volga Om Nath Sood Memorial Cricket Tournament being played at St. Stephens Grounds. Put in to bat ONGC lost early wickets with Shivam Chaudhary (17) and Tanmay Srivastava (02) got run out in back to back overs and ONGC at one stage were restricted to 63 for 4 in 11.4 overs. Thereafter Milind and Mayank Rawat (21) put on 42 runs for the 5 th wicket. Then Miling with Saurabh Kumar (32) put on valuable 78 runs for the 6 th wicket to help their team imposed a total of 201 runs before getting all out in the 35 th over. For DASCB Kuldeep Yadav (2/26), Charanjeet Singh (2/29) and Prince Yadav (2/55) shared wickets. Chasing 202 runs DASCB lost early wickets and at one stage were 85 for 7 in 19 overs. Then Murtaza Ali (57) and Charanjeet Singh (44) showed some fight and put on 78 runs for the 8 th wicket but couln’t help their team achieve victory and DASCB fell 3 runs short with one ball to spare. Milind Kumar was adjudged the BDM man of the match.
