The 38th Match of Cooch Behar Trophy 2017-18 was played between Delhi and Tamil Nadu at St. Stephen's Ground, New Delhi. The toss was won by Tamil Nadu who chose to field first. Delhi total scored 417 wickets and played 139 overs. Continuing his good form, Sanat Sangwan scored 119 runs while Wicket-Keeper Gulzar Singh Sandhu also scored 86 runs. Off-Spinner Hritik Shokeen also played well and stretched the score with his valuable 71 run knock. R Sonu Yaddv, R S Jaganathsinivas and U Mukhilesh took 3-3 wickets each. Now it was time for the visitors to bat. Tamil Nadu didnt start well as Lovnish Singh removed the opener in his very first over. Pradosh Ranjan Paul remained on 31* and took the teams score to 66/3. On Day-3, Tamil Nadu got all-out on 338 runs. Pradosh Ranjan remained the top scorer as he scored 74 runs. R S Jaganathsinivas, D Prashanth Prabhu and K Deeban Lingesh scored 46, 40 and 38* respectively. Lovnish Singh took 5 wickets while Harsh Tyagi took 3 wickets. Now it was the time for home team to bat again. Delhi struggled this time as they lost 3 wickets for just 37 runs. Delhi still have a lead of 116 runs. The Umpires for the match were Amish Saheba, Sanjeev Dua while the match referee were Prasant Kumar Mohapatra.
