Schools for Peace Program Organised at Government School, Matiala
Schools for Peace Program of Non-Violence Project India aims at teaching youth how to resolve conflicts peacefully, improve their self-esteem in difficult times, learn how to say no to violence and bullying, empower themselves and take control of their lives. Hayat Amiree, a master trainer on non-violence is educating students on conflict management, self-esteem, and non-violence through interaction, creative expression, discussion and brainstorming based activities. He said “The Schools for Peace Level 1 serves as an introduction to three main subjects: self-esteem, conflict management, and non-violence. Through interaction, creative expression, discussion, brainstorming based activities, I hope students will be able to identify the importance of and build on healthy self-esteem, use conflict management skills to solve problems and learn how to act in a peaceful and non-violent manner.”
