Born and brought up in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, CA Pooja Khatod Indani completed her schooling and prepared for her CA through self-study in Sambhaji Nagar. After marriage, she moved to Pune and started her own practice. She has been a practicing Chartered Accountant in Pune for the last 11 years and also completed her LLB in 2016.
CA Pooja has rich experience in GST, taxation and tax litigation. She is the author of books on GST, including “More Than 300 Questionnaires on GST” and “Insights into GST Litigation – A Practical Approach.” She has also been a regular writer on GST, Income Tax, Service Tax and Central Excise litigation for publications like Bharat Law Publication, Jagruti Publication and online platforms such as Excise Law Times, Taxguru, Centaxonline and Taxlok.
She has conducted lectures, presentations and training sessions on GST and GST litigation for professionals at ICAI branches in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar and Pune, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Sarsbaug Study Circle and other professional forums. She also has around 10 years of experience in handling Direct Tax and Indirect Tax litigation for industrial groups and was a sub-group member of the WIRC of ICAI’s Indirect Tax Committee for FY 2017–18.
