Under the auspices of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and guidance of Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), a Traffic Discipline Campaign was organised by South- West District Legal Services Authority (SW- DLSA) on Wednesday, 15th February, 2017 at Dwaraka Sector 6/10 Traffic Intersection near Sports Complex. Shri Yogender Vats, Principal, teachers and students of Smt. Misri Devi Gyan Niketan, Shyam Vihar participated in the above campaign. Shri Ramesh Yadav, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) was also present on the occasion and provided assistance of the Traffic Police for the above program.
The school children were carrying banners and placards highlighting the importance of observing traffic rules. They stood and the four corners of the intersection and impressed upon the general public to observe traffic rules for their own safety and that of fellow passengers.
Shri Jagmohan Singh, Secretary, SW-DLSA was also present on the occasion and interacted with the school children to motivate them for the noble cause. He observed that the traffic rules are meant for the safety of the general public and that there was a need to bring awareness among the people so that they respect the traffic rules and observe them whole heartedly.
Shri Ramesh Yadav. ACP (Traffic) stressed the need for observance of traffic rules by the people and observed that density of traffic on the roads of Dwarka has increased manifold and that non-observance of traffic rules leads to accidents and loss of life. He further observed that voluntary and whole hearted observance of traffic rules would go a long way in saving precious lives and in ensuring safety of all the road users.
