Bhagavad Gita: The Manual of Life Episode 25- Adhyay 2, Shlokas 11
In this episode, Amog Lilla Dasji explains how learning begins only after unlearning.
In this Shloka, Lord Krishna taunts Arjuna and implores how it is unworthy of him to give up at the eleventh hour. Lord tells Arjuna that he is grieving for those who do not deserve his pity and sympathy. A wise fellow never mourns for the living or dead. A befuddled Arjuna had earlier entrusted Lord Krishna to guide him through this maze of the dilemma. As Arjuna's guru, Lord Krishna has three duties towards his disciple: pamper, educate and impart knowledge and chastisement if there is some diversion.
A believer and follower need to surrender himself to the Supreme power and be open to learning new things in life by admitting his ignorance. That humility and submissiveness is empowering and helps us connect with the Lord.
