In this episode, our guest Nasser Salim, managing partner, Flexi Capital LLP, tells us how he started off as a relationship manager with CitiBank in 2004 and after gaining considerable experience and exposure, he went on to co-found a firm along with former CitiBank colleagues - Sanket Kapoor and Ankit Sehgal - in 2017. A financial planner and an investor have a life-long relationship. "He is a tool to achieve one's financial goal within a time-frame," he says. He needs to assess financial information of the investor and then go for risk assessment and asset allocation, product selection and finally a review of the same to see if the desired goals are being met or not.
There are two types of investors - one those who create wealth and others who have inherited wealth and need to preserve capital, and the process of financial planning varies accordingly. "Please engage a financial planner, seek opinion and inputs from him and then take a judicious decision to meet your financial goals," he advises.
