Siddharth and Harshit shine as Pelican crushes South Delhi Colts, DDCA League

Brilliant show by Sidharth Sharma (152 in 80 balls and 5 for 33), outstanding batting by Harshit Kaushik(161 of 94 balls) helped Pelicans CC beat South Delhi Colts CC by 264 runs in a Premier Division match of the DDCA League played at Tripathi sports Complex, Kangenhera today. Put into bat Pelicans lost 3 wickets for 68 runs through early inroads made by Mayank Malhotra but an aggressive partnership of 209 runs between right hand opener Sidharth Sharma and left hander Harshi Kaushik enabled them to finish with a commanding 422 for 8 in their allotted 40 overs. In the very first over of South Delhi Colts innings Sidharth struck twice and went on to claim 5 for 33 with support from leg spinier Parives Sharma who finished with 3 for 19. For South Delhi colts wicket keeper Vedant siotia waged a lone battle finishing with an unbeaten 89 of 111 balls.
