In this episode, Radio Dwarka invited Panipat-based Amit Goyal, who is the proprietor of Ace Wealth Solutions, to know more about debt fund. "I landed in this business more by chance than choice. I completed my graduation in 1999. I come from a business family that deals mostly in textiles. I love meeting people. So I started another business, this time mobile wholesaling. But it was hectic, and I exited after some years," he said reminiscing his journey over the last 14 years. After leaving the mobile business, he came in touch with a man who introduced him to the stock markets, shares and various funds. "I realised that people used to invest in funds to make quick gains, but in haste, ended up incurring losses. It was worrisome. I started exploring and studying and analysing it more. In 2002-03, I finally ventured into this business." He found it tough to convince people to try this form of investment. But people started realising the worth of mutual funds and slowly their investment portfolio started increasing. "It was a matter of time. Initially, they were hesitant to invest even Rs 5,000, but once they came to know of the returns from mutual funds, they started investing more. The popularity increased mostly on the trust factor."
