In a quick chit-chat, actor Pradeep R Pandey a.k.a. Chintu shares his journey in the Bhojpuri films with Radio Dwarka.
As a student of Class 10, he made a swashbuckling debut in Deewana, which hit the theatres in 2009, and went on to become the biggest hit of that year. It wasn't by choice but by default that he landed in films and before he could realize, he was knee-deep into acting. The success of his first film gave him a firm footing in the industry and offers started pouring. Till date, he has given many hits in the Bhojpuri films.
It was his family's support that helped him achieve fame in the regional language cinema. "They have helped me in whatever way they could," he said.
Originally from Uttar Pradesh, Bhojpuri is his mother tongue. But he has lived in Mumbai all through. In 2013, he did Jeena Teri Gali Mein as the male lead that went on to become the biggest hit of the year and won many awards.
For him, audience love and appreciation is the biggest award.
He urged lovers of Bhojpuri lovers to watch his forthcoming film, Dulhan Chahi Pakistan Se.
